My name is Malia, I am the founder and coach at MomFit. I am happily married to my adventure buddy and have a 2 year old son named Atlas and 2 fur babies named Murphy and Illene. I am certified through NASM and specialize in Women’s Fitness, Pre and Postpartum, as well as Menopausal.

 

I had my son during the pandemic and felt like I had lost all autonomy to my body. Although I was so proud of what my body had just done bringing a beautiful child into the world, I felt very defeated not feeling strong enough to complete simple tasks and movements. This is when I decided to take back control and go on my own fitness journey. My goal then and now has always been first and foremost to focus on functional movements and strength that will help me run after my son, bike with him and take part in any other experiences down the road with him. It was amazing after only a few months how not only my strength improved and I started looking forward to working out. It really became my “me time” , my own version of self care.  

 

I started having other moms reach out and inquire how to start their own fitness journey.That was my lightbulb moment! I knew I wanted to be able to help other moms regain  confidence in their own bodies and feel as strong as I did!

 

I believe fitness should be fun and engaging so that by the time your workout ends you have those happy endorphins flowing and are already looking ready to your next session! Let me help you fall in love with fitness and your body!
